The first reaction of the engineers was negative The production engineers were rather negative and they insisted that this is a waste of money and that acquisition of spare parts and repairs would solve any problems. But the Production Manager Ales Goldsmid opposed them saying that Plantyst will become a whip for the production process at his hand an that the machines have to run anytime. About the implementation of Plantyst he says: „My friends told me that I am mad. They said that I will only annoy the employees. But I insisted that a trial is worth this risk. I wanted to see how the employees handle the production and how the machines are operated. Now I see precisely what is going on, every day at breakfast I watch the production operations. In the end the employees accepted Plantyst very well.”

Daily meetings

Plantyst meetings got employees involved in the company processes. At the implementation of measuring daily meetings were introduced. Every day at eleven o'clock the supervisor prepares charts from the day before, he puts question marks on spots he needs to clarify. The root cause is identified and issues are solved or shifts are compared. Indeed, the employees are interested in the charts, they watch them on displays. They are happy to know what their scorecards looks like. Such results keep them motivated...
